According to Hindu dharma “ Santoshi Ma” is goddess of happiness and prosperity who’s prayers are mostly done on Friday’s . Sanoshi ma’s father’s name is Ganesh and Mother’s name is vridhi and Sidhi.
Their family is notes as family of wealth (Dhan , Dhanya , Sona Chandi , Munga and Ratna). Henceforth praying them gives us a lot of happiness and prosperity and keeps all the sadness out of family.
Ma Santoshi is the most calm, soft and kind for of goddess Durga.  There is a custom of offering prayers to ma Santoshi for continues 16 weeks of Friday. People generally follow very strict method of worship during these 26 weeks of Friday. It is told that Santoshi ma does not like sour food, sour food indicates bad things in life and during the time of worship devotees avoid eating sour thing to achieve complete purity, happiness and satisfaction in their hearts.  It has also been noticed that when devotees does not follow the norms correct and consumes sour food during the vrath santoshi ma has given them warning by giving them a little difficulties during their life.
